STGC Leads in Tournament Wins for Taekwondo High School League Title… Calabar Peeved!
Calabar High, defending champion for the past two years, is considered the powerhouse in high school taekwondo over the decade the sport has been introduced in schools. Indeed, they have produced the likes of Jason McKay, Authur Barrows, Olympian Kenneth Edwards and international kick box champion Oshane Murray.
However, St. George’s College, coached by Old Boy Wayne Smith has won the last 2 tournaments and now threatens to take the league title this year. Calabar’s captain Trevor Webb Jr. is rather peeved at the thought of losing the title and promises a better outcome in the next Ningen Open.
Big up to the STGC Taekwondo team and coach Wayne Smith.
Let’s go STGC!!!
